Melissa, our newest Physiotherapist, has recently completed a course in Mulligan’s concepts held here in Townsville. The course was run over four days and included both a theoretical and practical component, introducing participants to the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries using the Mulligan approach. Guest speakers included well-renowned Physiotherapists Kim Robinson and Toby Hall.

The Mulligan Concept is based on the underlying premise that joint pain and restriction of movement is caused by a positional fault within the joint. Treatment therefore aims to restore the normal alignment through gentle glides applied to the joint, often in combination with a pain-free movement.
